Pet Sitter Job Description:

• Receive in-home and overnight pet nanny assignments from At Your Service Pet Nannies of Bucks County, LLC main office via telephone and/or email.
• Fulfill in-home and sleepover pet sitting services as listed below.
• Perform midday daily dog walking as assigned between the hours of 11am-2:30pm Monday-Friday.
• Provide overnight pet sitting; typically 9:00pm-6:00am (9 hours)
• Personalized pet sitting vacation visitations throughout the day; morning assignments 7-9am, midday 11-2:30pm, evening 6-8pm.
• Pet feedings and refresh water during each visit.
• Pet potty breaks and/or litter box waste cleanup.
• Minor in-home pet “accident” cleanups .
• Administering prescribed pet medications
• Lots of play and plenty of love and doting over client’s pet.
• Daily Pet Reports—a diary of client’s pets’ activities during client’s absence.
• Curbside garbage receptacle drop-off and pickup.
• Retrieval of mail, packages, and newspapers, daily.
• Rotation of interior and exterior home lighting, daily.
• Light plant watering.
• Tidying-up of pet sitter’s direct living areas for overnight visits.

Position Requirements:

• Applicant must love pets—dogs and cats—and is currently a pet parent.
• Applicant must be willing and able to stay overnight in a client’s home during client’s absence.
• Applicant must have an insured, licensed, fuel efficient, reliable car and hold a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license. Excellent driving record required. 
• Applicant must provide proof of U.S. citizenship and present valid photo identification.
• Applicant must be willing to undergo and pass criminal background checks.
• Applicant must possess excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• College degree preferred.
• Applicant must be willing to make a 6-month independent contractor commitment to work with At Your Service Pet Nannies of Bucks County, LLC, and be willing to sign a Non-Disclosure/Non-Solicitation Agreement/Independent Contractor Agreement as a condition of independent contractor relationship.
• Applicant must be available to render pet sitting visitations as early as 7:00a.m., and as late as 9:00p.m., Sunday through Saturday and available on holidays (holiday pay/bonuses will apply). 
• Applicant must be well groomed, neat, tidy, and refrain from using profanity.
• Applicant must be respectful of At Your Service Pet Nannies of Bucks County’s clients, their homes, their property, and their privacy, and be neat and tidy while working and staying overnight inside client’s home.
• Applicant must be willing to pickup dog bowel movements using doggy bags, and clean cat litter boxes.
• Applicant must have access to the Internet to receive assignments, and have text messaging on their phone to report assignment completion.
• Applicant must live in the Newtown/Yardley area.  You will not be considered if you do not live in this area.  

Skills Set: 

• Pet sitting and/or in-home pet care experience.
• Veterinary technician and appointment scheduling experience a plus.
• Dog training experience a plus.
• Experience administering pet shots, pills, salves, and/or pet physical therapy is a plus.
• Secretarial or administrative assistant experience.
• Marketing and retail/service sales experience. 
• Meeting or event planning experience.
• Detail oriented.
• Address stressful situations with tact and without alarming clients, veterinary medical professionals, or pets.                                                                                         

Additional information:

• Pet Sitters are paid as Independent Contractors.
• Pet Sitters will be issued a 1099 and will be responsible for paying their own taxes.
• Independent Contractor agreement with Non-Disclosure/Non-Solicitation clause to be signed prior to being contracted as Pet Sitter for At Your Service Pet Nannies of Bucks County.
• This is not a full time job.  We cannot guarantee hours.  This is an on-call position as jobs become available in the following areas: Newtown, Yardley,   Bensalem & New Hope. This is a great job for those looking for supplemental income.  We currently have steady midday dog walking assignments in the Newtown/Yardley/New Hope/Bensalem area.  Applicant must be available for midday dog walking 11-2:30 Monday-Friday. Perfect for stay-at-home moms, retired individuals, and other people looking to make about $150-$175 per week when jobs become available in the area.
